The State’s vision for Metronet and its implementation was also discussed at the October 3 meeting.

Shelter WA staff members took the opportunity to highlight the State Government’s opportunities to optimise social and affordable housing outcomes, through strategic land use planning.

How the State Government could engage Western Australia’s community housing sector to leverage private and government investment was also outlined to the  Parliamentary Secretary.

Mr Carey outlined his commitment to respond to people experiencing homelessness within his electorate and to work with the community, housing consumers, local government and the non-government sector top develop a coherent plan.
